The Federal University of Acre (Portuguese: Universidade Federal do Acre, UFAC) is a non-profit public university with headquarters in Rio Branco, Acre in Brazil. Universidade Federal do Acre (UFAC) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study.

History

The university was founded as a law school in 1964, was reorganized as a university in 1971, and was federalized in 1974 [1]. Its enrollment is over 10000 students in undergraduate and post-graduate programs.

Campuses

The university also has a branch campus at Cruzeiro do Sul.

Accreditation

Officially accredited by the Ministério da Educação, Brazil (Ministry of Education, Brazil), Universidade Federal do Acre (UFAC) is a coeducational higher education institution.
